About Us

Investigators from Connecticut Children’s Medical Center and the University of Connecticut Health Center are forging new partnerships for purposes of discovery and evaluation of biological mechanisms and agents for treatment of disease, improvement of health, and related fields of application as they affect children and youth. The multidisciplinary, scientific collaborations described on these pages involve clinical departments of Pediatrics, Medicine and Surgical subspecialties as well as basic science departments of Immunology, Genetics and Developmental Biology, the Center for Vascular Biology and the Stem Cell Institute.

In 2010, both institutions signed historic formal agreements to facilitate their research partnership, including a formal Research Agreement and Intellectual Property Management Agreement. These documents recognize the unique relationship between Connecticut Children’s and the UConn Health Center that enables the promotion, growth and support of high-quality basic and translational research, enabling efficient access to resources while protecting the interests of both institutions.
